Superheros were invented by men, to represent everything normal men dreamed to achieve. Still at some point, you believe they are real, more so when you are a kid. You believe there could exist someone who is indestructible and indefatigable ..... and for all you know it could be you dad....As you grow, the idea either distills to a refined version or just takes a back seat in your fantasy world.
Mine just distilled to cheer everyday hero's, people who made a difference without actually wearing a mask even if it was in the smallest way conceivable....
To me an everyday super hero:
- Is brutally honest
- Has courage of his convictions
- Has an iron will coupled with unlimited optimism
- Considers every task worthwhile, if you give it your best
- Is a champion of free will
Incidentally "GrandPi" was all of these, thus I morn not only the loss of loving grandpa, but also a superhero who never failed to inspire me.
